Dear cousin Alex I heard
5 	you was in Iowa I is very
good skating here now in
Chicago But it didend skate
yet this winter I ant got
any skates my mother w{ant}
10 	buy me any I want get anything
this christmas I am to school
every day and evening school
also I am in fourth reader
is was quiet bad stoopy
15 	wether here yesterday and
it is putty cold to day I hope
you will have a good Christmas
my papa is pretty sich
this week they took him to
20 	doctors school room and they
took about a quart of water
out of his side 3 days ago
we got our cow yet she
gives about 5 quarts of milk
25 	yet a day she eats one bale
of hay every week we
pay 50 cents a b{o}le for our
hay hay is wery dear this
year we are all well so
30 	far and hope you are the
