This collection encompasses only 21 letters, 18 of which were included in my dissertation. Of these, 14 are in German and four in English. The collection was found in 2015 in the wall of a dwelling being remodeled in the Lomira area. The majority of the letters are addressed to Rev. John Fritsche and so it is likely that he collected the letters. Although there are no samples of writing from him in the collection, he receives letters in both in German and English.

Lomira Collection index

Letters listed in bold are in German, others are in English. Some letters listed in the indexes are not used in analysis; all excluded from analysis are noted. For more transcription conventions go here.
